I have been teaching/tutoring for the past 9+ years: I have tutored various subjects since 2007 (mainly in math, Spanish, English, and study skills), working with elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and ESL students. I increased a high school student's Algebra and English grades from F averages to B averages in 3 months and helped a UC Berkeley student get his first A's in college. My main specialty is English: I worked as a writing tutor at UC Berkeley's Student Learning Center, as a teaching assistant for a preparatory academy developing college-level composition skills, and a SAT English teacher. Moreover, I've helped immigrant children learn English & have helped countless students with college and graduate school personal statements. I am passionate about education, and I believe that every student has the ability to succeed academically once he has obtained the tools that fits his needs. I absolutely love teaching, and I enjoy watching my students gain confidence as they increase their ability to learn.
